The Power of Words

Recently 6 news aired a couple of stories that point out the power of words. A caller to WNOX's Hallerin Hill show became upset with traffic reporter Dave Foulk and threatened to "put a bullet in his head." The radio station took the threat very seriously, though the caller later called back saying he was only kidding. In this day and age, one never knows.

The other story was a piece about a racial slur against Knoxville Fire Chief Carlos Perez. Sadly the slur was commited by a member of the Fire Department.

The irony here was on the same day we aired this story, we also aired a story about the first class graduation of Hispanic Leadership.

FYI.....Dave Foulk has not

FYI.....Dave Foulk has not been the WNOX traffic reporter since April 2003. Dave has been the news anchor since that time.

I have been the PM Drive traffic reporter since October 2002 and both dayparts since April 2003.

Just wanted to be clear on this.
