Speeding or Racing?
The outcome of the Sheriff's investigation into whether the death of Asst Deputy Chief Keith Lyon was caused by 20 year old Armin Hadrovic racing with another car is still undetermined. Hadrovic was also killed in the crash.
The idea that someone could travel at speeds of 95 miles an hour down Schaad Road is pretty frightening. Someone going that fast, on that road is inviting trouble. It's a narrow, winding road and not built for speed.
Any way you describe it, this is a tragedy. If racing was involved its even more senseless. We haven't been able to speak to the Sheriff about the investigation, but we have spoken briefly with the Hadrovic family.
The surviving member of the crash, Arnis Hadrovic, told his sister he remembers another car, but that's all. The family has declined other comment. They're still grieving, they said.

I saw on WBIR the high sheriff saying they were racing? How can it be undertermined if he told the press it was a race?
Why is everybody talking
Why is everybody talking about all of it being armins fault? that was my friend and we loved him just like Chief Lyons family loved him, people need to talk about the co-worker that was trying to race armin to work that night, she was in front of them and didnt stop even after seeeing what happened i think right now people should focus on puting her to jail because she might have been able to save a life if she stopped, and another thing is if armin was driving 80-95 like the news say why dont they put her in jail now cause she must have been driving around 100 so that he still couldnt catch up to her! I want to see this woman in jail for the rest of her life....as for armin and Chief Lyon they are both dead so why is everybody trying to blame the dead person? I feel bad for chief lyons family as much as i do for armins. my parents were best friends with his parents and he was like a brother to me i am just asking people to help the police realize the co-worker played a big part in the death of our family or friend.
We All Love You Armin! You Meant The World To Us And We Would Do Anything To Have You Back...I Wish I Could Give My Life For You
Bless your heart A.Z. but
Bless your heart A.Z. but just because the girl was going faster does not make her more at fault than Armin. Don't misunderstand me, she is just as liable as Armin and she should have stopped, absolutely. She should be locked up as an accessory to involuntary vehicular manslaughter. However, They were two people racing. That's what they were doing, and if you think otherwise you're foolish. Armin did have the choice of not speeding, but he chose to speed. No one held a gun to his head. You shouldn't confuse an accident with a bad choice. As a result of his actions (and the other girl's too), an inocent man was killed. That's why everyone is blaming the dead person, as you put it. If Armin had slowed down his car would not have hit Chief Lyon's car and everyone would have lived. We wouldn't be talking about it now. This whole thing is sad and preventable, but yet it happens every single day somewhere. Kids need to learn responsibility BEFORE things like this happen and not after. I've had a friend fly through a windshield and hit a tree at 90mph. Oh yeah, he died. My sister has been hit by two drunk drivers that walked away anscathed, and I myself have been in a crash were my door was ripped off and I was tossed out as a result of someone else's negligence. People need to be held accountable.
I MISS YOU SO ARMIN, REST IN
I MISS YOU SO ARMIN, REST IN PEACE!
armin god rest his soul was
armin god rest his soul was to all people who knew him was a very kind hearted and gentle boy. he was a very good friend he helped me threw my car accident.he wouldnt have been going 80-95 miles and hour he was a very safe driver. he barely would go over the speed limit so i know he wasnt racing
Armin you was a wonderful
Armin you was a wonderful person...im so glad that i knew you....you was a great person and i will always think of you.....those who are remembered will never be forgotten!!!!luv ya heather
I was told the other driver
I was told the other driver may have been speeding as well. There was talk of a guy on a motorcycle going by the truck and literally wavering on his bike because of the wind and speed of the truck. The man on the motorcycle actually heard or saw the crash. I believe this man might have even tried to share this info - I dont recall ever seeing it. But then again would I expect the sheriffs office to in any way form or fashion incriminate one of its own? Regardless my hope is this is a lesson learned by all, two lives needlessly gone.
Armin was the best. I have
Armin was the best. I have known him for 8 years and he was a great friend. And you know... it really gets on my nerves that when the wreck did happen, all they could talk about was the cop and how he had been married only two years. They never said anything about Armin except that he was an immigrant from Bosnia, but they left out the part where he just graduated high school and he had a great job and was a great kid. and then they tried to say he smoked marijuana before the crash... but the blood tests came back negative for any drugs. Armin never did drugs. Honestly i hope the sherriff's office feels terrible about the name they are giving to someone like Armin... REST IN PEACE ARMIN... I LOVE YOU FOREVER BABE!
It has been one year,one
It has been one year, one day, and 14 hrs since he died. i havent talked to Armin in like a really long time. he is doing alright but not that good and i cant really say that i feel sorry for him but i can tell he loved his brother ver very much. Armin was a great person you could ask anyone who knew him theyll tell you how he was. He was just into racing he didn't mean to hurt anyone and im sure if he would have made it he would tell you the same. But he was a great guy and i hope hes in a real good place.
