Jim Bryson on Dave Cooley and God

Tune in this Sunday at noon for Tennessee This Week. Republican candidate for Governor, Jim Bryson is our guest.
The state senator from Franklin is running an uphill battle to win the governor's seat. A recent Survey USA poll (sponsored by WBIR) found Bryson a 3 to 1 underdog to Governor Bredesen. Still, Bryson says he is optimistic he can overcome the deficit and win the race.
On our program, Bryson makes a number of statements, including a call for the ouster of Deputy Governor Dave Cooley. Bryson believes Cooley was directly involved in last year's "promotions for campaign donations" scandal surrounding the THP.
He says if Governor Bredesen is serious about cleaning up the THP, it should begin with Cooley.
Earlier this week, I posted that Fred Phillips, the former Safety Commissioner was in Knoxville being deposed for lawsuits filed by former THP officers. They claim they'd been passed over for promotions because of politics. Cooley is also expected to be deposed. Those lawsuits (3 of them) won't be heard until next year.
Bryson also says he was "nudged" by God to run for governor. On his last visit to our program, he explained that after talking with his wife and alot of prayer, he was led to his decision to run. I asked him directly today if God told him to run, and his response was, yes God gave him a nudge.

I am confused! God nudged

I am confused! God nudged me to vote against him.

I am a retired state of TN.

I am a retired state of TN. employee (Revenue) and went though many
governors who were certainly questionable in ethics etc. I am a Republican and I am very disappointed that Jim Bryson would come "out of the stall " bad mouthing" Gov. Bredesen. I believe that he is probably
the best governor the state of TN. has had in many many years.

He (Him Bryson) should think about running on his own qualities as a
governor.....not trashing the current one. We are interested in seeing
Bryson personality.... I must say the 1st impression is not good !
